Eszter Őze

Freelance curator, critic and researcher

Eszter is a freelance curator, critic and Phd researcher based in Budapest. She graduated from the Department of Art History and Aesthetics (ELTE) and from the Department for Art Theory and Curatorial Studies (HUFA). Currently, she is enrolled in the faculty’s Ph.D program in Philosophy: Film, Media and Cultural Theory. Her research field is museology (particularly the hygiene museums) between the interwar period and socially engaged art in the CEE region. In her earlier projects and theoretical works she investigates the socio-economic aspects of space, public and community. She worked for the Kassak Museum as a curator (2014-2017), Off Biennále Budapest (2015), and she is lead member of the The Studio of Young Artists’ Association (SYAA).
