Júlia Perczel

Researcher and critic

Júlia is a researcher and critic. Holding MA’s in Social Science and Art History she studied and completed internships at Budapest, Tilburg and Stuttgart. She participated as curator in the I. Off Biennále Budapest and worked as the member of the research group of Kassák Museum. She is currently a PhD candidate in Network Science at the Central European University, Budapest. In her PhD research, she is focusing on better understanding the ways underlying network structure, positions, and core-periphery power-relations influence the ways of dominant narrative formation regarding CEE artists in the global art canon. In a broader sense she is interested in integrating qualitative and quantitative methodology as well as incorporating big data analysis while trying to better understand cultural production in the contemporary art world.
